UPDATE: Man sentenced to prison for Davenport gunfire incident

UPDATE: Marc Cameron, who earlier pleaded guilty to intimidation with a dangerous weapon with the intent to injure or provoke fear, has been sentenced to prison, according to Scott County Court records.

Cameron, 18, on Aug. 10 was sentenced to serve no more than 10 years for that charge.

In another case, pursuant to his plea of guilty for possession of burglar tools, he was sentenced to serve no more than two years, court records say. The sentences will run concurrently, or at the same time, court documents say.

EARLIER UPDATE: Caden Wiseman, who earlier pleaded guilty to a charge of intimidation with a dangerous weapon – threat only, has been placed on probation in connection with a February shooting in Davenport, court records show.

On July 21, 18-year-old Wiseman, of Davenport, was sentenced to a period not to exceed five years. He will receive credit for time he served in Scott County Jail. The sentence was suspended, and he was placed on probation “pending good behavior” for a period of three years, court records show.

UPDATE: Two individuals have been arrested in connection with Saturday’s shooting.

This incident remains under investigation and no further information is available at this time. Davenport Police say this does not appear to be a random act of violence.

EARLIER: Davenport Police were at the scene of gunfire on the 1000 block of South Concord Street, Davenport, on Saturday night.

A neighbor who asked that his name not be used told our Local 4 News crew that he heard four gunshots ring out from a car that pulled up to a residence, then drove away, about 6:20 p.m. Later, he saw a man transported from the scene by ambulance.

Police put up crime-scene tape around a house, and officers went inside. They also talked to several people outside the home.

We do not know the condition of the person involved or whether police have arrested any suspects. We will stay in contact with law enforcement to provide details when they become available.
