TikTok trend linking crime scene photos and Ted Bundy’s electric chair – users urged not to look

TikTok users have been warned against a recent trend linked to a website that contains crime scene photos and others showing Ted Bundy in the electric chair.

In recent years, Bundy has become the subject of many documentaries and movies that have taken a look at the heinous crimes the serial killer committed.

Now, many users on TikTok have urged others not to interact with an online trend linked to Bundy.

Here’s what people have said about the videos and why you shouldn’t look up any content related to them.

TikTokers warn against Ted Bundy crime scene photos and electric chair

A recent trend that has been spreading on TikTok is related to a certain website containing photos that include the aftermath of Ted Bundy in the electric chair.

The website contains images from Bundy’s execution day. The serial killer was executed at Florida State Prison in Raiford on January 24, 1989. 

TikTokers have warned against searching for the name of the website and looking up any related terms as many have found them triggering or upsetting.

Many users have issued warnings against the trend and we urge you not to look at any content linked to it if you are sensitive to graphic images.

Twitter users also warn against the trend

Users have also taken to Twitter to warn against the images, urging other people to not interact with the trend.

One person tweeted: “There’s a bunch of TikTok [videos] of people spreading a website that is filled with crime scene photos, dead bodies (stuff from Ted Bundy, Jeffrey Dahmer, etc) and people are acting like it’s normal to see s*** like that.”

Another warned: “People on TikTok found out they can search for Dahmer’s actual victim Polaroids and Ted Bundy’s body after being on the electric chair.”

Someone else wrote: “Stop glorifying mass murderers and serial killers.”

How to report videos

TikTok users are being urged not to search anything related to ‘Ted Bundy crime scene photos’ and to report any videos associated with the trend.

To report videos on TikTok, users need to do the following:

  • Click on the white arrow (the share button) to the right of the video
  • Tap the icon that says ‘report’ with a flag symbol
  • Report the content
