Two individuals lost their lives during a high-speed chase that occurred in the early hours of Thursday. The chase involved a stolen vehicle and a Rockwall County sheriff’s deputy, according to officials.

According to reports, the crash happened in an attempt to evade a pursuing deputy. The ill-fated Dodge Charger, occupied by the deceased, was involved in the high-speed chase. Fortunately, the deputy involved in the pursuit emerged unharmed.

In the early hours of the morning, a thrilling pursuit unfolded on the Interstate 30 service road in Rockwall County. It all started when a vigilant constable noticed three vehicles parked on the side of the road, their headlights eerily switched off.

According to the sheriff’s office, it was reported that another deputy successfully located the vehicles and observed them engaging in multiple traffic violations. The constable activated his emergency lights, only to witness the vehicles swiftly veering off in opposite directions. In a decisive move, the constable made the choice to pursue a specific vehicle, identified as a black Dodge Charger, as it travelled in a northerly direction along Texas 205.

The Charger proceeded to head west on Texas 78, passing through the towns of Wylie and Sachse. In a recent incident, a vehicle attempting to enter the President George Bush Turnpike collided with a concrete barrier, resulting in a crash.

According to officials, the crash resulted in the tragic deaths of a male and a female who were inside the car.

According to investigators, it has been discovered that the three vehicles involved in the incident were all reported stolen. The Charger was reported stolen from Lewisville, while the Chevrolet Silverado was reported stolen from Rockwall. Additionally, it was revealed that the Chevrolet Camaro involved in the incident is still missing.

In response to the crash, Garland police arrived at the scene, clarifying that they were not involved in the preceding chase. According to officials, the Charger reportedly shot off the ramp of the highway and subsequently became engulfed in flames. Tragically, one individual involved in the car incident lost their life at the scene, while the other succumbed to their injuries at a hospital.
