Tanner Novlan Leaving Bold And The Beautiful: What Happened To John Finnegan?

Tanner Novlan, who portrays Dr. John “Finn” Finnegan on The Bold and the Beautiful, appears to be departing the show.

He was in the hospital looking at his phone while waiting for a text response from his wife, Steffy Forrester, in the newest episode, when Finn’s mother, Sheila Carter, accosted him in the alley while he was looking at his phone while waiting for a text response from his wife, Steffy Forrester.

Finn exits the hospital a few moments later after informing the personnel that he needs to go outside. And in the alley, the two women argue back and forth because Sheila wants her family to accept her, but Steffy rejects the concept, claiming that no one, even her son, would accept her.

Finn, on the other hand, is sitting in the car, reliving his chats with his mother and concluding that she is not going to change. Then, with a furious expression on his face, he steps on the gas.

In the alley, Sheila tries to urge her daughter-in-law to put the incident with Brooke behind them by pleading with her to allow her parents to have a family gathering. The response from Steffy is that she will not allow her mother and father to begin their life together on the basis of a falsehood.

Sheila replies angrily and attempts to excuse her actions by claiming that she was acting in the best interests of Steffy and her family. Steffy asserts that she did it only for her own benefit, which she disputes.

Then Finn’s mother moves in and issues a stern warning that no one, including Steffy, will be able to keep her away from her son and grandson, Hayes, until she is satisfied.

In reaction, she threatens to tell Finn everything she knows about him. Their conversation continues until Steffy declares that Sheila will never see Finn and Hayes again. Those words reverberate in her head as she pivots away and removes a revolver from her pocket. And just as she is about to fire, her son appears and steps in between them.

The gunshot strikes him in the stomach region, causing him to tumble to the ground and land on a mound of debris. “No! No…!” cries Sheila in response, as Steffy is taken aback by what has happened.

Finn coughs and says, “What happened?” while Steffy is screaming and pleading with him to wake up. A few moments later, his chest rises and falls as he tells her that he loves her and that he wants to make sure Hayes has a nice life.

Following that, she accuses Sheila of being a monster and begins dialling 911. She orders her to put the phone down before her finger even reaches the final number, all the while pointing the gun at her.

Tanner’s stint on the show appears to have come to an end. He first appeared in the position in July 2020 and has been in it ever since.
