Walker in 2015 with the Mariners
Walker started the first game of the 2015 season with the Mariners. Walker gave up nine runs in 3 and 13 innings during his first start, which was at Oakland. After that, he pitched against the Dodgers and gave up 5 runs in 4 innings. This made some people wonder if Walker was ready for the big leagues. Walker kept having trouble. In his first nine starts, he only pitched more than six innings once. Walker’s record went from 2-6 to 7-6 when he won five straight races in June and July. Walker had trouble after winning five straight games. He went 0-1 and had an ERA of 8.02, but on July 31 against the Minnesota Twins at Target Field, Miguel Sano hit a home run as his only hit. This time, his offense helped him win. He beat the other team 6-1, and it only took him 100 pitches (11 strikeouts) to do it. Even though he had a 4.56 ERA in 29 starts, Walker finished the 2015 season with an 11-8 record.

Arizona Diamondbacks
Walker and Ketel Marte were traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks on November 23, 2016, for Jean Segura, Mitch Haniger, and Zac Curtis. In 2017, Walker’s first year in Arizona, he made 28 starts and pitched 157 innings. He had a 9-9 record.
Walker was put on the 10-day disabled list on April 15, 2018, because of tightness in his right forearm. Two days later, on April 17, it was announced that Walker had a UCL injury in his right elbow. On April 18, it was announced that Walker had a partial tear of the UCL in his right elbow. Walker had to have Tommy John surgery because of the injury, which cut short his 2018 season.
After he had surgery for Tommy John, he only played in one game for the Diamondbacks. It was the last game of the 2019 season. Walker was let go by Arizona on December 2, 2019, and became a free agent.
