Sophia Jones Obituary – Cause of Death: In loving memory of Princeton freshman, Sophia Jones.

Sophia Jones passed away unexpectedly at the age of 18 on the night of Wednesday, November 29, according to an email to the campus community from W. Rochelle Calhoun, vice president for campus life.

Jones was from Chicago, Illinois, and attended high school at Red Cross Nordic United World College in Flekke, Norway. She was a member of Yeh College. An engaged member of the University community, she danced with Princeton University Ballet and tutored middle school students as a fellow with Princeton’s Science Outreach.

Sophia leaves behind her parents Juliet Sorensen and Ben Jones, both members of Princeton’s Class of 1995, brother Hugh Jones and sister Thea Jones.

Sophia will be remembered as a brilliant and sensitive young woman. She was deeply kind.
