Simon Cowell Had Another E-Bike Accident That Broke His Arm

Simon Cowell was recently taken to hospital after being involved in an e-bike crash in London, less than two years after being involved in a similar crash that left him severely injured and bedridden for months. According to TMZ, the latest collision occurred last Thursday, January 27, 2022, when the music mogul was riding an e-bike near his residence in West London. He is said to have tried to enter a sharp bend but ended up hitting a wet spot in the road. Cowell slipped and fell in the middle of the road when the wheel of his bicycle fell out of his car. Before paramedics arrived, several bystanders are said to have rushed to his aid and blocked oncoming cars.

Simon Cowell was taken to a local hospital and was diagnosed with facial injuries, possibly concussion and broken arms. Sources told People that the recording executive is doing “very well”. At the end of the day, the business magnate is pictured with his arm in a bright yellow cast and appears to have been asked to rest at home.

Simon Cowell’s previous e-bike accident

Simon Cowell’s most recent e-bike accident came just 18 months after he was involved in a deadly motorcycle crash in Los Angeles. The X Factor UK judge was testing a brand new £10,000 e-scooter at his home in Malibu in August 2020 when he lost control of the brakes and plunged to the ground.

He suffered a severe spinal injury and had to undergo six-hour surgery to put a metal rod and screw in his back. In an interview with Extra TV, Cowell said he felt “full of passion” after the accident. The event forced the media celebrity to take an extended break after appearing on TV shows. He is said to have struggled to move without assistance for months before making a full recovery. The 62-year-old has also resumed riding and claims the collision has given him strength. He even describes the thrill of riding an e-bike more than 10 kilometers a day:

“My most creative time now is when I ride a bike, even though I use an e-bike.” I can still ride a bike, and I average about 10 miles a day… after being in an accident on one occasion. It was an electric motorcycle; they’re called pedal assist motorcycles, and they’re amazing.”

The tragic tragedy came the day after Cowell finished filming for the upcoming season of Britain’s Got Talent.
