Michael Martindale, a well-known construction worker who lived in Filer, Idaho, has unexpectedly died away. Through a social media post that stated, Today, our hearts are heavy and we are keeping the friends, family, and team members of Michael Martindale in our thoughts,” the Idaho Associated General Contractors revealed his passing. According to reports, a semi-truck crashed through barricades in a construction zone on Interstate 84 on Saturday, September 23, 2023, killing a construction worker. According to the authorities, a westbound Freightliner operated by a 75-year-old man from Anaheim, California, crossed a closed lane of traffic in the work zone around 7:30 p.m. in Jerome County, at milepost 183, and struck Michael Martindale, 22, of Filer.

After striking Martindale, the semi continued west and struck a Ford Ranger pickup truck before coming to a stop. Exit 182 westbound was shut down for more than five hours as the accident area was cleaned up. According to the ISP, Martindale, whose identity was made public by the Jerome County Coroner’s Office, died there.
