After breaking off his engagement to longtime lover and dance partner Dana Alexa, Matt Steffanina is enjoying her current relationship with Destiny Kaye. For five years, the street dance master and Alexa were inseparable. The breakup of the dancing duo makes fans confused because they always light up the screen when they are together.

Many aspiring dancers have been inspired by choreographers who have participated in the past. But Steffanina has moved away from her ex-fiancee and is currently busy creating Tik Tok videos with her new partner.

Steffanina has been dating his current girlfriend, Destiny Kaye, for almost two years. According to girlfriend Kaye’s one-year anniversary post on July 20, 2020, he has been dating her since July 2019.

Steffanina first appeared on Kaye’s Instagram on July 15, 2019, so the dance duo decided to make an official announcement around that time. Kaye has frequently mentioned him in her posts since the official announcement on July 20th and vice versa.

Steffanina had a past with fiancee Dana Borriello, before Kaye

Steffanina dated dancer Dana Borriello, also known as Dana Alexa in the dance world, over 5 years before they split. They even got engaged during their love period, exchanging rings in May 2012.

Previously engaged choreographers were seen competing together in several dance competitions. They are also the winners of season 28 of Amazing Race. When Alexa posted a video of their breakup in April 2020, the news spread quickly. The video clearly shows that the former partners were engaged and broken up at the time.

Alexa went on to say that since she had been in a long-term relationship for most of her life, she was content to be single at the time. She also said that she continues to be friendly even though they have been together for a long time. She made this statement in response to a fan’s question about whether she “hates Matt”.

Alexa then revealed that she was engaged to the dancer and would soon be his wife. Not only that, the couple lived together, traveled together and even built an empire together, most likely a reference to Steffanina’s now famous dance academy.

She reiterates that she does not despise Steffanina but on the contrary, she is grateful for the years they have spent together. She also said that discussing the relationship from her point of view would be disrespectful to him and what they went through as a couple, so she left it at that.

On one particular aspect of their relationship, Alexa says she doesn’t want to be called “Matt’s ex” because she’s who she is. But she also admits that because she’s a girl, she’s more likely to be seen as Steffanina’s ex than the other way around.
