Maomao has long been in the business of solving mysteries thanks to Jinshi and his odd plans that include her. The Eunuch had a different view of life, and his approach to life certainly freed the inner palace-bound girl from her life of boredom. A life that she had earned and then grown bored of as time went by.

Maomao had used some odd methods to get out of the life of nothingness and pursue a new life outside the palace. However, she caught the eye of Eunuch Jinshi, which got the attention of both men and women around the town. Maomao didn’t know what to expect from him back then, and once she got to learn of his plans, she just went with the flow.

The Romance Manga will not be focusing on the recent events that transpired between Maomao and Jinshi or any mention of it. The newly introduced Ri Shu will be taking the focus as her issues seem unordinary, as seen in the last chapter.

Ri Shu was afraid there was a ghost at her place, but it all turned out to be fake, as revealed by Maomao. The face that the Diamond Palace royalty had seen was the reflection of the mirror. The mirror that was given to her by her last mother and kept as a memorial of the house.

The mirror means the world to her, and she was hesitant to even show it to Maomao but conceded much later, which later shed the truth behind the ghost that Ri Shu had seen in her room. Maomao affirmed that there are no such things as ghosts in this world. However, by that time, Ri Shu was worried about her late mother and the mystery she had brought on her.

Kusuriya no Hitorigoto Chapter 67 started with Maomao being bothered by the events that had taken place. Maomao was worried that Gao Shun was also in on the events that had taken place between her and Jinshi. However, they were on an official of the appearance of the ghost in the diamond palace by the heir.

They went inside and were welcomed by the maids who took them to Ri Shu, but there was something odd about it. The way they were treating the heir seemed despicable, and they were bullying her under the pretense of care. However, this didn’t become apparent until the end of the chapter when Ri Shu had to snap at one of them.

But before that, when Ri Shu talked about the case of the ghost, the head maid took an opportunity to take a stab at her. Jinshi didn’t let it hang for long, though, as he used his charms to distract them. After that, the three listened to Ri Shu’s story about how she had seen a ghost in her room.
