Kevin Gabriel Obituary: Kevin Gabriel unexpectedly passed away. The official date of his death was Sunday, November 5, 2023. After hearing of his untimely demise, he left behind many broken hearts. All of us who had the pleasure of getting to know him during his life will always miss him.
“My condolences go out to the family, friends and countless students and staff of Steenland Elementary School and Kevin Gabriel. He passed away this morning from a long fight with cancer. He showed up everyday to school we had no idea he was fighting this fight as he put our kids first. He knew all 3 of our kids. May he rest in peace.”
Who was Kevin Gabriel?
Kevin worked at Roseville Community Schools for a long period, having a positive impact on many students and staff members. Kevin had an immense amount of empathy and sympathy for the youngsters he worked with, and he loved them.
Kevin was one of the wonderful staff members who had been there long enough to know entire families of kids, and he recognised students from prior years. When he needed help helping an older student he worked with in primary school, he was always willing to offer advice.
What happened to Kevin Gabriel?
In July 2022, Kevin received a Stage 4 colon cancer diagnosis, which he calls his “stage 45786743 cancer.” Kevin continued to attend Steenland Elementary every day while battling illness and undergoing weekly chemotherapy. Kevin did a great job managing the situation.
In August 2023, Kevin’s disease started to make living more challenging on a daily basis. His family had an emotional rollercoaster as he was in and out of the hospital. Even though he was admitted and discharged from the hospital, his physicians were certain he would survive this trying period.
