Kerwin Frost x McDonald’s collab launches adult Happy Meals
Kerwin Frost is a Harlem-born entertainer, DJ, talk show host, and creative comedian known for viral YouTube videos and streetwear collaborations.
The Kerwin Frost x McDonald’s collaboration dropped on December 11, 2023, and offers adult Happy Meals and some exclusive merchandise including the crazy clogs Frost has been flaunting online.
Fast food company McDonald’s is filling the adult Happy Meal with customers’ choice of a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets or Big Mac, fries, and a drink.
Each meal comes with one of six McNugget Buddy collections reimagined by Frost and equipped with interchangeable outfits, encouraging fans to express themselves while collecting them.
McNugget Buddies feature in Kerwin Frost x McDonald’s collab
Along with the adult Happy Meal comes a special McNugget Buddy collectible – returning for the first time in more than 25 years.
The figurines debuted in 1988 and are “best known for their wacky adventures and personalities, wild imaginations and interchangeable outfits” but the new McNugget Buddy collection is designed in partnership with Kerwin Frost.
Growing up in Harlem, Kerwin Frost found his McNugget Buddy collection to be a source of creative inspiration.
Complete with mix-and-match outfits, the designs are inspired by Frost’s childhood experiences and belief that everyone should feel free to express themselves.
The McNugget Buddies include Kerwin Frost, Don Bernice, Uptown Moe, Waffutu, BRRRICK and Darla.
‘Fry Guy’ clog part of Kerwin Frost x McDonald’s collab
Kerwin Frost and McDonald’s have also dropped a new shoe inspired by McDonald’s Fry Guys characters, available exclusively at kerwinfrost.com from December 11, while supplies last.
McDonald’s Fry Guys (and girls) originally appeared in six colors, but Kerwin Frost dedicated his shoes to the McDonald’s blue, fry-obsessed character seen in a classic 1984 McDonald’s commercial.
The Fry Guy clog has a bumpy, shiny blue exterior topped with big blue eyes and eyebrows, McDonald’s golden yellow arches gracing the heel and Frost’s branding stamped on the insole of the shoe.
The clogs are a monument to Kerwin Frost’s creative vision and McDonald’s continuing cultural influence.
A part of the proceeds from the “Fry Guy” Clogs will be donated to the Harlem Arts Alliance, adding a degree of social responsibility to this collaboration.
This initiative represents Kerwin Frost’s and McDonald’s dedication to empowering young adults in Harlem by encouraging them to explore their creativity and pursue artistic pursuits.
