The Reddit story is about a 26-year-old female, the OP, married to her husband, Kayden, of the same age. They have been married for years with a kid and are expecting their baby number 2.

The OP has always shared a good relationship with the members of her husband’s family, like his mom and sister with whom she hit it off immediately, making the sister-in-law “jealous”. The Reddit user was aware of the impact of her closeness to her husband’s family had on her sister-in-law, so she always chose to stay away from her and her children to avoid further drama.

The SIL has been with her brother-in-law since they were in high school and the OP’s husband’s siblings followed her lead always. So she always thought of herself as the second daughter of the family until the OP’s presence started drawing more attention – for all the good reasons though.

The OP and her husband’s sister shared a close relationship. Their children were of the same age and they had bonded over each other’s diet, which made it easier for the OP to feed her sister-in-law’s baby too.

The entire family had gathered for dinner when the sister-in-law thanked the OP for feeding her child, who had actually started to eat better after being fed by her aunt.

This didn’t sit well with the jealous sister-in-law who had deliberately kept her children from calling OP “Aunt Emmy”. She found issues with the OP treating her children and her sister-in-law’s children differently.

Kayden quickly shut down his sister-in-law and defended his wife by saying she was forced to stay away from his brother’s children.

The sister-in-law calls the OP the next day and asks her if she could bring her kids over for lunch, but the former refuses. This repeats again, which ticks the sister-in-law off. She calls out the OP for excluding her children, which also results in the brothers fighting.
