How to Use Area Zero Exploit in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet (Easy Shiny)

Quick Links

After completing Pokémon Scarlet and Violet‘s three main storylines, trainers can easily catch shiny Paradox Pokémon by using a map exploit in Area Zero. However, using this method only grants trainers easy shiny hunting for half of both versions’ Paradox forms. The Paradox shiny versions are neat and also fairly easy to spot on the map. For Pokémon Scarlet, in the case of spotting Ancient Paradox Pokémon, the colors are very similar to their present-day forms. Likewise, in Pokémon Violet, Futuristic forms of Paradox Pokémon are all chrome.

Trainers should return to Area Zero to hunt shiny Pokémon after finishing the final act of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. This trick is also made easier by making specific Pokemon-type Sandwiches that isolate Pokémon through Sandwich Powers so that they appear more. Take note of which Pokémon is the only one of its type and which one a trainer wants. For example, in Pokémon Scarlet, there is only one Grass-type Pokémon, Brute Bonnet, making it easier to isolate it.

Location of Shiny Hunting Spot

To find the shiny hunting location, head towards or select Research Station 4 from the Zero Gate in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. This is the closest to the bottom of the map where there will be large crystals that Koraidon or Miraidon can climb up and jump on.

Follow the path until the trainer reaches a sign. Jump and glide past the waterfall near the big crystals and continue forward until the trainer finds a smaller crystal with a large rock next to it. Pokémon like the Quaking Earth Titan Great Tusk, will start to appear as soon as the trainer gets closer to the rock.

The Paradox Shiny Hunt

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's Shiny Paradox Pokémon; to the upper right corner there is Shiny Iron Hands, while the lower right corner hosts Shiny Iron Thorns. To the upper left corner, there is a Shiny Great Tusk, while the lower left corner features a Shiny Flutter Mane. In the middle, there is a Shiny Iron Valiant. Behind them all is a strong yellow light and a sparkling effect.

The most efficient way of catching easy shiny Paradox Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will involve using Sandwich Powers. To figure out what sandwich a player should use, try testing out the Sandwich Simulator as highlighted in YouTuber AustinJohn’s video.

After creating a sandwich, immediately head down to the rock and crystal and begin the search. Hopping or walking carefully to the edge of the crystal which will constantly spawn and respawn, giving trainers a higher chance at finding a Shiny.
