Herschel Walker biography
Herschel J. Walker serves as Independent Director of the Company. Mr. Walker is the founder of H. Walker Enterprises, LLC and its subsidiary, Renaissance Man Food Services, LLC, a certified Minority Business Entity, and has served as Chief Executive Officer of each business since 2002. As Chief Executive Officer of H. Walker Enterprises, Mr. Walker oversees a broad line of products on a national level. Mr. Walker owns Herschel’s Chicken and Ribs Kitchen, a full-service restaurant serving classic southern cuisine in Athens, GA since 2013. He is also a recognized motivational speaker on a variety of business related topics for Fortune 500 companies and regional chapters of the National Minority Supplier Development Council. Mr. Walker played football for the University of Georgia from 1980 to 1982, where he was a three-time All American and a recipient of the Heisman Trophy. In 1999, he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. During Mr. Walker’s professional football career from 1983 to 1997, he played for the New Jersey Generals, Dallas Cowboys, Minnesota Vikings, Philadelphia Eagles, and New York Giants, and was selected to the USFL All-Star team in 1985 and the NFL Pro-Bowl in 1987 and 1988. In addition to his football career, Mr. Walker was a member of the two-man U.S. bobsled team for the 1992 Winter Olympics, and is undefeated in professional mixed martial arts. Mr. Walker received a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice from the University of Georgia.
