But she mentioned that she would have been even more impressed if they did not get beaten up. Stark reminded her that it was normal for a warrior, but Fern reminded him that it was not normal since he was covered in wounds.

Granat told his people to give a proper burial to the heroes. He had to escort Frieren and others to the city. Granat had made a promise to Frieren that he would reward her.

Since she had requested the defensive barrier grimoire by Flamme that had been passed down for generations in his family, Granat asked Frieren if she was sure she wanted the grimoire.

Frieren told him the grimoire was fake after seeing it. Granat told him it was true because the defensive barrier that it described was nothing like their city barrier.

Recap

The spells were passed down by oral tradition; Frieren told him she was already aware of that. She mentioned that it was her hobby, and Frieren mentioned that she had a bad experience when she first left to defeat the demon king.

Fern reminded them that Mr. Heiter said in the royal capital that disrespecting nobility was punishable by death. Frieren told her Himmel and Eisen were nearly executed for speaking casually to the king.

Stark told Granat that the central land was very barbaric. Granat told them they would not get thrown into prison for speaking casually.

Granat had already informed the people of the town about Aura’s defeat. So they wanted to honor the heroes and told them to take their time.

They stayed in the town for a few days and decided to leave the town after the burial ceremony. Granat had heard that Frieren and her group were traveling to Ende.

The farthest point north was where the demon king’s castle was located. Granat informed Frieren that the conditions on the northern plateau were not quite good.

So, traveling was restricted; even the adventurers had to be accompanied by a first-class mage. Fern believed that since they had Frieren by their side, there would not be any problem.

Frieren did not know about the first-class mage. Fern was surprised that Frieren did not know about it. Fern explained that it is a certification awarded by the Continental Magic Association certification.

Fern acquired her certification when they left the holy capital. She showed her third-class mage certification to her. Frieren realized Fern did have some business to take care of in the holy capital.

Frieren was a bit surprised after seeing the certification at the current time. Fern did not want to believe that Frieren was an uncertified underground mage. Frieren told her not to make it sound like she was some back alley doctor.
