In a tragic incident on Sunday morning, two individuals lost their lives in a devastating tractor-trailer crash that occurred on I-85 in Anderson County.

According to the Anderson County Coroner’s Office, authorities were called to the scene on I-85 Northbound near mile marker 22 at approximately 2 a.m.

According to the coroner’s office, a recent investigation has revealed that Tracina Young, a 47-year-old resident of Greenville, and her passenger, Frederick Styles, 51, from Woodruff, were involved in a collision while traveling north on I-85. The collision occurred when their vehicle collided with another tractor-trailer that was reportedly experiencing mechanical problems.

In a tragic incident, individuals identified as Young and Styles were forcefully expelled from the vehicle and subsequently declared deceased at the location.


The investigation into the matter is currently being conducted by the Anderson County Coroner’s Office, the South Carolina Highway Patrol, and the SCHP MAIT team.

The announcement of Young and Style’s tragic death was flooded by heartfelt tributes and condolences across social media.

“My circle has been broken and All I can say is Lord help us all. I was just laughing with Tracina Young and Freddie at 12:30 am by 2:30 My friends were gone. You see those that know me know I’m the strong one. The one that will pray immediately for my people. I feel weak, lost, broken, devastated…” a tribute post shared on Facebook read.

“Prayers for Tracina Young family and friends! Trucking is one of the most dangerous careers. As a reminder, please always be courteous of the truckers on the road, you have no idea the weight on those trucks at any given time! Please don’t cut them off or slow up in front of trucks!,” Kashima Edwards wrote.
