Erica Greathouse Car Accident; Resident Of Columbus Indiana, Erica Greathouse Passes Away In a Tragic Accident
On Monday, October 23, 2023, Erica Greathouse, a clinical manager at Adaptive Homecare, LLC and a resident of Columbus, Indiana, unfortunately passed away. Her cousin used the popular social media platform “Erica Greathouse” to declare her death.

Authorities from Bartholomew County Sheriff’s office are investigating a single-vehicle accident that happened on Monday at 4:15 p.m. that resulted in the discovery of a deceased female inside. The accident occurred at 4:15 p.m. near the 13000 block of South County Road 100W.
A caller reported seeing smoke in the area, which prompted officers to respond, according to Sgt. Dane Duke, spokesman for the Bartholomew County Sheriff Department.
Duke claims that the caller found a burning automobile when they looked into the smoke. It appeared that the vehicle had collided with a tree near the road. Duke claims that the deputies were unable to see inside the vehicle or get near enough to enter it when they arrived. The responding deputies tried three fire extinguishers, but they were unable to put out the fire.
The Wayne Township Fire Department and the Southwest Volunteer Fire Department were on scene and quickly put out the fire. One body was found inside the vehicle.
The Accident Reconstruction Team was sent to the scene to conduct an ongoing investigation. The victim’s identity will be released as soon as the Bartholomew County Coroner’s Office provides it, according to the sheriff’s office.
Born and raised in Columbus, Indiana, Erica Greathouse completed her education at Columbus North High School in 1998. She attended Western Governors University and Ivy Tech Community College Columbus before becoming a registered nurse.
She was employed by Fresenius Medical Care as a Treatment Options Specialist and by Fresenius Kidney Care from 2017 to 2020 as an Advocate for Kidney Care.
Prior to joining Adaptive Homecare, LLC in Columbus, Indiana in 2020, she worked as a nurse service provider at Elite Hydration Health & Wellness. She is currently a clinical manager there. Since graduating from high school, Erica has worked in the medical industry, progressing from CNA to BSN. Erica has received home care, education, dialysis, and long-term care.
