In a recent interview with Times of India, Nushrratt Bharuccha, the lead actress in the first season of the popular 2019 movie Dream Girl, shared her thoughts on not participating in Dream Girl 2. expressed her feelings about Ayushmann Khurrana reprising her role while Ananya Panday joins the cast as a new addition.
The actress discussed the matter with Times Of India. “When you make a well-received film, you have a connection to it. Dream Girl has always had a special connection. Also because Ayushmann is really fun to work with and he’s what I honestly call my best friend in the movie business. He was the only one who called when I was sick and dizzy.”
She added, “My director Raaj Shaandilyaa, with whom I also acted in Janhit Mein Jaari, is also very close to my heart. So for me the whole setup and the whole team was special. Of course, it was disheartening not to be part of their second journey. But having said that, I wish the film all the best and I will be cheering for them, watching the first screening on the first day and hoping the movie will get over 200-300 cores.”
Nusrratt Bharuccha shares about not being a part of Dream Girl 2
Nushrratt Bharuccha has become famous for her roles in notable films such as series Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and Dream Girl. In recent years, she has appeared in films such as Chhori, Janhit Mein Jaari, Ram Setu and Chhalaang. In addition, she also starred in the Netflix anthology series Ajeeb Daastaans. Her most recent appearance was in the movie Selfiee alongside Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi. Currently, she is busy promoting Chatrapathi.
