Many are wondering whether NFL star Damar Hamlin has a girlfriend after he collapsed in the middle of a game on Monday.
The 24-year-old, who plays for the Buffalo Bills, fell to the ground after colliding with a player from the opposing team, the Cincinnati Bengals on January 2.
His team later revealed he suffered a cardiac arrest in a statement and said: “His heartbeat was restored on the field and he was transferred to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center for further testing and treatment.”
The sportsman, who received medical attention on the field for more than 30 minutes, is currently sedated and in a critical condition.

Does Damar Hamlin have a girlfriend?
No. To public knowledge, the NFL star does not have a girlfriend and has never publicly dated anyone. The player has 265,000 followers on Instagram and has never posted a significant other.
The 24-year-old has only just started his professional career after being drafted by the Bills in 2021 and was a reserve for his first season.
Before that, he played college football at the University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and was named first-team All-State and Class AAAA Defensive Player of the Year.
Does he have any children?
No, Hamlin does not have any children. However, he is very close with his own parents, and his mother Nina welcomed him when she was just 16 years old.
“I’m extremely close to my family and I just try to think about when I was 16 years old and I just couldn’t imagine having a little boy,” he told News4 in 2021.
“It was us at first, just me and my mom and my dad, and they taught me hard work. They taught me you gotta work for everything you and basically they just taught me all of the lessons of life.”
NFL game postponed
Following Hamlin’s injuries, the NFL took the decision to postpone the Bills-Bengals.
“Tonight’s Buffalo Bills-Cincinnati Bengals game has been postponed after Buffalo Bills’ Damar Hamlin collapsed,” NFL commissioner Roger Goodell announced in a statement.
“Hamlin received immediate medical attention on the field by team and independent medical staff and local paramedics. He was then transported to a local hospital where he is in critical condition.”
Jordan Rooney, a friend of the NFL star, told CNN’s Adrienne Broaddus Hamlin is a “fighter” and will “make it out of anything”.
“I’m excited for him to bounce back from this, because Damar is someone who, he will use things like this, adversity, and he’ll make sure he inspires plenty of other people along the way,” he added.
