Dan Goff Obituary: Daniel Kieran Goff, 64, of Mt. Lebanon, died on December 18, 2023. Daniel Goff was born on February 23, 1959, to Jean Louise Adams and the late Richard Lynn Goff. After attending Mt. Lebanon and Gateway High Schools, he graduated from Duquesne University in 1982. He served as a Eucharistic minister at St. Winifred’s Parish and was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Parish. He was also a co-founder of the accounting firm Goff, Backa, Alfera, and Co.
Dan was a devoted husband to his wife of 41 years, Kathryn Eck Goff, and the best father his four children, Justin, Andrew, Meghan (Lawrence), and Patrick, could have wished for. In recent years, he took great joy in spending time with his eight grandchildren, Sam, Jamie, Rosie, Drew, Sophia, Nathaniel, Danny, and Mac, who all adored their Pop Pop and will miss him more than words can convey. Dan was a big fan of young athletes, having coached them in basketball, football, and baseball. He also helped Mt. Lebanon athletics and the Blue Devil Club out.
His wife, Kathryn Eck Goff, survives him, as do his mother, Jean Louise Adams; siblings Dr. Linda Haynes, Richard Goff, Patti (Paul) Brahim, and Deborah Goff; his wife’s siblings, Mark (Lisa) Eck, Anne (Nicholas) Mageras, Michael (Elizabeth) Eck, Christopher (Kimberley) Eck, and Jennifer Eck (Clint) Rounsfull; and children Justin Daniel Goff His father, Rev. Michael A. Adams, and stepfather, Richard Lynn Goff, died before him.
