McCrary and Rita Ewing, who at the time was married to Patrick Ewing of the New York Knicks, worked together on Homecourt Advantage, a racy book about the wives and girlfriends of the fictional “New York Flyers” basketball team. The book was put out in 1998.
Kevin Merida, a critic for the Washington Post, said that the book has “336 pages of desire and mistrust, rumors and innuendo, the trappings of money, and the seductions of power.”

His father was accused of trying to get a prostitute
Anthony was arrested on January 16, 2015, in Washington, D.C., and charged with trying to get a prostitute to work for him. After his arrest, Turner Sports and CBS banned him for life.
On February 11, Anthony and the prosecution reached a deal called a deferred prosecution agreement. This said that the case would be dropped if Anthony did 32 hours of community service and stayed out of trouble for four months.
In March 2016, CBS fired him, but he later went to work for Turner as a studio commentator for NBATV and a stand-in analyst for NBA on TNT during the regular season and playoffs.

Early years

Years in high school
Anthony went to Archbishop Molloy High School in Briarwood, New York, for his first three years of high school. He was the first first-year player for Molloy to start right away at point guard. The head coach of Christ the King Regional High School, Joe Arbitello, said that Anthony was “the best point guard I’ve seen at that age since Stephon Marbury.” Anthony averaged 16.9 points and 6.7 rebounds per game and was named to the second team of All-Catholic High School Athletic Association (CHSAA) Class AA.
As a sophomore, Anthony led Molloy to the finals of the CHSAA Class AA city championship. However, Cardinal Hayes High School beat his team and won the title.
In December 2016, he scored a season-high 31 points in a win over Iona Prep. Anthony averaged 20.7 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game. He and Moses Brown, a junior on the same team, were both named to the All-CHSAA Class AA first team. In June 2017, he played for the PSA Cardinals in the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL), a well-known amateur circuit. He was named Defensive Player of the Year because he led all players in steals.
During Anthony’s junior year, he and Brown were one of the best high school basketball teams in the country and in Molloy’s history.
As co-captain of his team, Anthony averaged the most points, rebounds, and assists in the league: 23.4, 7.8, and 4.1. He was named to the first team for All-CHSAA Class AA, the third team for All-USA by USA Today, and the third team for Junior All-American by MaxPreps. At the City of Palms Classic in December 2017, he scored 37 points against John Marshall High School, which was his season high. Anthony won the most valuable player (MVP) award in July 2018 after averaging 26.9 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 3.5 assists over 16 games with the PSA Cardinals in the Nike EYBL.
On July 28, 2018, Anthony said that he would spend his senior year at Oak Hill Academy. Mouth of Wilson, Virginia, is home to the high school, which is known for its successful basketball team. He joined the team with Kofi Cockburn, who is also a very good 2019 prospect. Oak Hill was thought to be one of the best high school teams in the country before the season started. Anthony hurt his ankle a few times during his senior year, so he had to miss a few games. At the GEICO High School Nationals, he led his team to the semifinals. Anthony led Oak Hill to a 31–5 record with an average of 18.5 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 10.2 assists per game. He was the first player in school history to average a triple-double. He made the first team of USA Today All-USA and the third team of MaxPreps All-American. Anthony was named the Gatorade Player of the Year in Virginia because he did well in both basketball and school. In the McDonald’s All-American Game, he had 14 points, five rebounds, and seven assists. In the Nike Hoop Summit and Jordan Brand Classic, he had 14 points, five rebounds, and seven assists.
