Colin Blayney Obituary News: 36-year-old Avon Lake resident found dead in Vineyard Road vehicle collision
At the scene of a single car accident in Avon Lake, the driver who has been identified as Colin Blayney was declared deceased.
According to authorities, a single car collision at Vineyard Road in Avon Lake on US 6 (Lake Road) claimed the life of a 36-year-old man on Thursday night.
Authorities were called to the site at 9:09 p.m., according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, where a 2005 Mercedes-Benz E320 had veered off the right side of the road and collided with two utility poles.
“High speed was said to had contributed to the collision,” the news statement from the Avon Lake Police Department stated.
The driver named as Colin Blayney, an Avon Lake resident was pronounced dead at the scene. US 6 was blocked for more than three hours as emergency personnel handled the incident.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol received assistance from a number of organizations, including the Avon Lake Police Department, Avon Lake Fire Department, and Avon Lake EMS.
There are still open investigations regarding the collision.
