Chigiri argues that the order that they participate in won’t affect anything, something that Igarashi takes issue with as he argues that the order should come down to egotistical behavior.

Isayama praised it highly. Isayama also praised the manga, saying, “It depicts a theory of Japanese people that is not limited to soccer. I hope all Japanese people, regardless of whether they like soccer or not, will read this book.”
