Benzino Got Himself Arrested After The Arrest Warrant Was Issued

Benzino surrendered on May 23 after being designated a fugitive when a warrant for his arrest was issued. This order stems from a conflict in July 2020 involving Althea Heart, the mother of his child, and her boyfriend. During a heated argument, the rapper allegedly destroyed her boyfriend Heart’s car. He described his side of the court fight and its reasons for a news source. He say,

“Currently, I’m fighting the person she’s with.” In short, the case happened about two years ago and someone posted that old video that got me arguing with him.”

He alleges that he was ordered to appear in court via Zoom but failed to do so after testing positive for Covid. A warrant for his arrest was later issued. Last month, he apparently got involved in another family spat with Heart and her partner. He was detained and charged with second-degree criminal damage as well as disorderly conduct. During the melee, he is said to have punched the man’s car.

In 2019, the 56-year-old man was detained for not appearing in court for violating traffic laws. Initial arrest footage shows him shouting at police and questioning why he was fined.
