David had admitted to having sent Sheila over $3000 within a year of their dating. But as per a video by ET, Sheila is asking David for more.
Sheila has been asking David where he will get money to help fix her house. “It’s going to be expensive to fix the house. I can’t pay for all of it,” David told Sheila via their interpreter Aimee. David admitted that he’s not rich and hence, has to work two jobs to make a living. “And it’s still hard,” he added. “I’m actually embarrassed that I’m asking for his help because he’s doing so much already,” Sheila explained to Aimee. The real reason that Sheila is embarrassed is that David has a job and she doesn’t.

“It’s too much to ask for,” Sheila confessed. Sheila’s situation in the pandemic has been difficult, especially after the pandemic. Sheila used to work as a saleswoman earlier. She sold cotton candy for a living. But Sheila lost her job because of COVID-19. Sheila has been unable to find work. And there’s nobody in her family that can help her financially. “So let me ask you this. If I can send money to help you, does that allow you to find a job?” David wanted to know. Sheila understands if David is facing a shortage of cash, and isn’t able to help her out. She doesn’t want him to force himself into paying for Sheila. David is having doubts about whether Sheila is manipulating him into giving her money. For the first year that they were together, Sheila did not ask David for his money. Sheila may have first wanted to earn his trust before she could start using David to fulfill her needs. David spoke about Sheila’s house having burned down in a fire and later destroyed by a typhoon. Sheila took money from David but was never really honest about the sad state her house was in.
It was only after David visited her house to meet her parents that David realized it was a shanty. Sheila’s home was only accessible by narrow lanes with overflowing sewage water. It smelled like feces and urine. David didn’t run away from Sheila or mock her for her living conditions on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. In fact, he stayed over and was by her side when her mother passed away by slipping down the rickety stairs. David doesn’t owe Sheila any money. She’s capable of working on her own. With David’s help, it’s really something that Sheila could do.
